KENYA TRADE DELEGATION VISIT

In consultation with the Kenya High Commission, we are delighted to confirm the visit of Kenya Trade delegation to Canada. The visit is scheduled for July 28 to August 08, 2003.

A workshop to articulate Canada-Kenya trade issues is scheduled for the afternoon of Wednesday, July 29th, 2003. Please find attached the agenda for the workshop.

We believe that the visit is strategically important for understanding the Kenya private sector's views on the Federal Government's Action Plan Formulation for Trade Development Linkages between Canada and the Countries of Africa.

Access to the views and concerns from the average local African Business Community members will allow for the incidence of Canadian Aid Resources to reach the most deserving and needy targets. Linkages of closer relationship and understanding between Canadian and African Private Sector communities will be developed.

The possibility of these benefits are evidenced in the type of questions members of the Kenya delegation are expected to ask during their visit later this month.

The delegation members represent various trade sectors from the Kenya Business Community and Government. Some members of the delegation have expressed interest in trade discussions between your firm and the Kenya counterpart.

We are therefore delighted to invite you to meet with the delegation members for bilateral and multilateral trade discussions on Wednesday, 29th of July, 2003, 11:00 a.m. in Ottawa, Algonquin College, Woodroffe Campus, 1385 Woodroffe Avenue, Restaurant International.

The following are trade development areas of interest which the delegation members are planning to develop between Canadian and Kenya Business Communities.
