Workshop begins at Algonquin College, Woodroffe Campus, International Restaurant

The delegation's main focus is on developing sustainable and profitable Business linkages between Canadian and Kenya Business Communities.

But first, members of both the Kenya and the Canadian Business and Government representatives must be given the opportunity to articulate their positions on trade development rules of engagement within their respective communities.

Secondly, delegation members must also understand the protocol for taking advantage of the federal and provincial governments' trade liberalization policies for the Countries of Africa.

Consequently, a three hour Canadian-Kenya Business familiarity workshop is being proposed for the members along with the Canadian Government and Business representatives.

There will be six components to the workshop curricula:

  1. Investment Opportunities in Kenya
  2. How to Penetrate the Canadian market: Re: Canadian tariffs on imports, Trade formation and Policies
  3. Investing in Kenya's EPZ's
  4. Trade tariffs, policies, fairs and shows
  5. What Canadians can offer to Kenya and vice versa
  6. Papers submitted by Algonquin College - Secretariat for African Trade and Development Information Services on:

    1. Centre for Studies in Africa Development and Trade
    2. PERT Diagnostic Filter Mechanism Program
